Our experience of purchasing a vehicle from Carver Toyota of Columbus in Taylorsville, Indiana exceeded all expectations my wife and imagined. This was our first new vehicle purchase since 1997 and we greatly appreciate the professionalism that was shown. Issues were encountered during the process but all were handled efficiently, professionally, and to our satisfaction. The issues encountered were the original ordered vehicle being damaged in transport and a misunderstanding of financing that was quickly resolved. After the original vehicle was damaged in transport, the sales team of Bryce Jones, Shea Fox, Austin Hanloh, and Steve Turner, worked very hard to find us a similar vehicle from another dealership. Amazingly, a similar car was located and we took ownership only one day after we were to originally take ownership of the first (damaged) vehicle. We also had a question/issue about financing, 3 days after officially signing all documents. This was resolved once we brought it to sales manager, Steve Turner's, attention. In summary, we were very happy with the price allotted for our trade-in, the sales experience, and the resolving of our financing issue. We will certainly buy another vehicle from Carver Toyota of Columbus in Taylorsville, Indiana. We also highly recommend buying a vehicle from Carver and working with the sales team we had, especially the sales manager Steve Turner. A job well done by this team. Thanks Mickey & Paula Waller. Best car buying experience I've ever had. I did most of the process over the phone, and when I arrived, everything was in place for me. They even put a Happy Birthday bow on my vehicle. Every single question I had was answered. I didn't feel pressured. Everyone I worked with was so sweet and really good with my 4 year old daughter. I would absolutely recommend this place.

We couldn't recommend Larry Janikowski and Carver Toyota any more highly because there are only 5 stars available. I'd easily go twice that were it possible! Larry went above and beyond in every way. Knowledgeable as he was helpful and informative. We are extraordinarily happy with the Prius we bought from him. The dealership is very nice. The customer lounge was appointed with an excellent custom coffee maker which totally hit the spot as we had traveled to Carver from Indianapolis. First class facility and first class service. We highly recommend them.

Very pleased with my recent experience with Carver Toyota and my sales rep Josh Branum. Had recently had poor experience with another Toyota dealer, and contacted Carver and was exceptionally pleased with their communication, follow ups, and purchase process from beginning to end. Josh handled things quickly and up front, and made it very easy for me to get details, etc from a location over an hour away. When we did go to the dealership after details were worked out, everything was just as provided with no surprises. Really appreciate Carver and Josh specifically. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle, especially if you have had a poor experience elsewhere, or just save yourself that trouble and contact Carver first. Also had one item on the new vehicle that needed to be handled by the Service Department after the purchase and that was followed up on quickly and handled properly. Thank you

I have been going to Carver Toyota for many years to

I have been going to Carver Toyota for many years to purchase my Toyota vehicles and have had excellent service and found that they would match any offer on the exact same vehicle if I found one for less in the State of Indiana. This time around, things were a bit bumpy and it may have been since I bought a newer used Toyota, but I am not certain. I did not receive any loyalty (repeat customer) incentives this time and only received one key/FOB for the vehicle. I was told that they are working on acquiring the second key/FOB and will be notified when they locate it. Overall, even with the above issues I will still return to Carver Toyota for future business when that time arrives. As always, I still compare deals at all area Toyota dealerships when purchasing a new car, but gaining my loyalty gives them an upper hand when it comes to my business with them.

If I could give a zero, I would. After the sale of the car, we called five times and left messages. No reply. Left my apple iPhone cable there and they said they would mail it. A week later, my disabled husband had to drive to the dealership and it was stuck in a drawer. All nice when they sell you the car; after service, absolutely zero!!!!!!! Never again!

Communicating with these guys is difficult at times. For example, I purchased for our 2024 Camry the mid guards. Their quote to install was in my opinion outrageous. So I decided to install them myself. When I went to pick them up they had placed them in the shop and assigned them to be installed. It’s like you talk to them, they hang up and disregarded everything I said. The sales experience wasn’t much different.

This was the worst overall customer service I have ever

This was the worst overall customer service I have ever experienced. I purchased a Tacoma from Carver Toyota that had 24k miles on it and was still under warranty. Unfortunately a air compressor pump failed at 32k miles which did not allow my air conditioner, nor my defrost, to work. After taking it to Carver I was told that my truck was no longer under warranty because my in service date had passed 10 days prior. I asked Carver to cover the entire cost due to my truck only having 32k miles on it. They refused. Shawn, or Sean, I am unsure of which spelling it is, asked me where I had my truck serviced. I told him I hadn't had it long enough to have had my truck long enough to have had it serviced more than once. I had it serviced locally instead of driving 40 minutes to have Carver service it. He then told me that if I had been a loyal Carver customer that perhaps they could have done something for me, which is absolutely ridiculous. He said they would order the part and call me when it was there. I got a call a few weeks later saying it was there. I drove there, dropped my truck off, and got picked up by a friend. A day later I got a call saying the part was missing a part. So I had to go back and pick up my truck, which still not fixed. Eventually they got the second part. It was almost 3 months from beginning to end to finally get my truck fixed. Also I was given the cost to fix my truck in a email. Luckily I kept the email because when everything was done the bill was 150.00 more than what they told me it would be. Fortunately Vanessa was pleasant to work with and agreed to refund me the difference once she checked with someone. This was my first purchase from Carver Toyota. I thought it would be nice to purchase from a dealer in my hometown. This ended up being a mistake. I was not valued as a customer and I will never go back for another vehicle nor service. This was the most disappointing dealer experience I have had.

Communicating with these guys is difficult at times. For example, I purchased for our 2024 Camry the mid guards. Their quote to install was in my opinion outrageous. So I decided to install them myself. When I went to pick them up they had placed them in the shop and assigned them to be installed. It’s like you talk to them, they hang up and disregarded everything I said. The sales experience wasn’t much different.

Appointment made 3 weeks out for general maintenance (oil

Appointment made 3 weeks out for general maintenance (oil change, tire rotation, etc). As well as warranty side trim piece (sticker) replacement for tundra. 1) didn’t reset maintenance schedule on dash 2) arrived 10min early - 12:50pm. 3) arrived and maintenance tech didn’t know the work they were doing. Tried sending me to parts… when it was already ordered and there. 4) 12:50pm - sat in lobby until 5:45pm. The only updates I was given were when I went to ask. Every Time I was told “about an hour” until finally they gave up trying to estimate and said “they are still working on it” Maintenance department manager prior to visit was good and promised good service; ordered part. Did a great job of calling and following up. Everything after that was absolutely horrible. Poor communication Poor execution Poor internal coordination I feel every time I visit this dealer - somehow the service continues to get worse. Toyota makes amazing cars and trucks - what I don’t understand is, when I had a Lexus, the dealer experience couldn’t be more opposite. Lexus was AMAZING. It’s the same company. I’m not saying Toyota dealers need to be as plush as the Lexus dealers; but the level of service, professionalism and ability to execute so be held to the same standard Toyota builds their cars with. Almost 6 hours for something so basic is embarrassing and disrespectful. Brand new truck… no loaner offered; their reason? “We offer a shuttle.” The shuttle is USELESS to folks who live 45-50 min away and have kids they have to pick up. Suggestions: 1) improve planning 2) improve communication 3) all new cars in for warranty work should get loaner- if not available, car off lot should be given. 4) improve execution. Not even resetting maintenance light… come on… do better.

Didn’t properly diagnose bad shift solenoid.

Didn’t properly diagnose bad shift solenoid. Since they thought it was good. Replaced another part. Only to discover original issue still persisted. Replaced solenoid as I requested, issue resolving initial issue, now have brand new issue where vehicle won’t go into gear. This issue may be due to incorrectly replacing UNEEDED part. I’m waiting until Monday to get the vehicle back in. Very frustrating as we’ve had to miss work due to not having a loaner vehicle. Have already had to rent a car as well.

Bought a used vehicle and went into finance to sign the papers. Not only do they not fill you in on things before signing, they tried to make me sign for a loan that was higher than average interest. With an 815 credit score, I said no…..call my credit union. They did and the loan interest was much lower. No info offered on the extended warranty, no paperwork, completely not informing the consumer. Then no call backs after leaving several messages. Will not return. I’ve heard this from several other people as well. Really crappy after service from this dealership. Once they sell the car, that’s it. Not the way it should be!!!!

Eddy Sutton went the extra mile to get my wife a new Camry XLE. Entire staff there is friendly and helpful. We actually drove 100 miles to get the car. We wanted a V6 and the local dealer in Lafayette wouldn't even try. Wanted to sell us a 4 cyl or Hybrid. Then lied saying that the Toyota corporation's corporate website was wrong and they no longer made a V6 Camry. I went online looking and in a day was contacted by Eddy. Very pleased with my recent experience with Carver Toyota and my sales rep Josh Branum. Had recently had poor experience with another Toyota dealer, and contacted Carver and was exceptionally pleased with their communication, follow ups, and purchase process from beginning to end. Josh handled things quickly and up front, and made it very easy for me to get details, etc from a location over an hour away. When we did go to the dealership after details were worked out, everything was just as provided with no surprises. Really appreciate Carver and Josh specifically. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle, especially if you have had a poor experience elsewhere, or just save yourself that trouble and contact Carver first. Also had one item on the new vehicle that needed to be handled by the Service Department after the purchase and that was followed up on quickly and handled properly. Thank you

Our experience of purchasing a vehicle from Carver Toyota

Our experience of purchasing a vehicle from Carver Toyota of Columbus in Taylorsville, Indiana exceeded all expectations my wife and imagined. This was our first new vehicle purchase since 1997 and we greatly appreciate the professionalism that was shown. Issues were encountered during the process but all were handled efficiently, professionally, and to our satisfaction. The issues encountered were the original ordered vehicle being damaged in transport and a misunderstanding of financing that was quickly resolved. After the original vehicle was damaged in transport, the sales team of Bryce Jones, Shea Fox, Austin Hanloh, and Steve Turner, worked very hard to find us a similar vehicle from another dealership. Amazingly, a similar car was located and we took ownership only one day after we were to originally take ownership of the first (damaged) vehicle. We also had a question/issue about financing, 3 days after officially signing all documents. This was resolved once we brought it to sales manager, Steve Turner's, attention. In summary, we were very happy with the price allotted for our trade-in, the sales experience, and the resolving of our financing issue. We will certainly buy another vehicle from Carver Toyota of Columbus in Taylorsville, Indiana. We also highly recommend buying a vehicle from Carver and working with the sales team we had, especially the sales manager Steve Turner. A job well done by this team. Thanks Mickey & Paula Waller. Best car buying experience I've ever had. I did most of the process over the phone, and when I arrived, everything was in place for me. They even put a Happy Birthday bow on my vehicle. Every single question I had was answered. I didn't feel pressured. Everyone I worked with was so sweet and really good with my 4 year old daughter. I would absolutely recommend this place.

If I could give a zero, I would. After the sale of the car, we called five times and left messages. No reply. Left my apple iPhone cable there and they said they would mail it. A week later, my disabled husband had to drive to the dealership and it was stuck in a drawer. All nice when they sell you the car; after service, absolutely zero!!!!!!! Never again!

I saw the Toyota Crown I was looking for online located

I saw the Toyota Crown I was looking for online located at Carver Toyota in Columbus In. I sent an e-mail late that evening. I received a polite call from Lauryn the next morning. We set up a time to look at the car. I met with both Jason and Adam. I had a trade in. Jason and I had a very cordial and respectful discussion until we arrived at a number that was a win-win. Adam educated me on all the features of the car and was very informative. I felt very comfortable with the car when he was finished. Rich handled the paperwork and financing. He was transparent and explained all my financing and warranty options. He made it easier to pick the best options for me. I came from Indianapolis, and am glad I did. The people who live in and around Columbus are probably familiar with Carver Toyota, but they are worth considering if you live out of the area. I would not hesitate to refer Carver Toyota to my family and friends. To top it off, the Toyota Crown is an amazing vehicle. Thank you!

Carver sold me a car with multiple issues and I brought it to the service department 4 times and they did not fix it. They then told me they are done trying and to take it to Ford. It cost me $100 deductible after I purchased the warranty from Carver. They told me there would be zero charge on anything with the warranty they sold me. Ford dealer fixed the issue in a half day.

I arrived early and they took me in early. I was in and out in about an hour. Everyone I spoke to was super helpful and friendly. I don't see myself taking my car anywhere else. Ariel was the person who got me checked in and everything and she was great. She explained everything very well. Overall it was a great experience.

Didn’t properly diagnose bad shift solenoid. Since they thought it was good. Replaced another part. Only to discover original issue still persisted. Replaced solenoid as I requested, issue resolving initial issue, now have brand new issue where vehicle won’t go into gear. This issue may be due to incorrectly replacing UNEEDED part. I’m waiting until Monday to get the vehicle back in. Very frustrating as we’ve had to miss work due to not having a loaner vehicle. Have already had to rent a car as well.
